Bosch First Won the "China Environmental Friendly Enterprise Award"
Bosch China has been granted the award "China Environmental Friendly Enterprise" by the All-China Environment Federation (ACEF).It is the only foreign company that won the award. Bosch Power Tools (China) Co. Ltd and Bosch Packaging Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. are the only two companies in Hangzhou who won the award.
After over ten years of development, Bosch Power Tools Hangzhou factory has become the leader in its industry. "From the beginning, environmental protection is one of our targets. Our HSE environment protection team has been active in all sites. We’ve strictly audited and supervised in all aspects of production. HSE members from Germany Headquarter and other states regularly visit our plants for inspection", states Mr. XD Wang, GM of Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd.
Besides the low-carbon production process, Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. applies a wide range of innovative environmental technologies, and steadily fastens the R&Dprocess of green products. As known to all, used batteries can do great damage to the environment. Compared to nickel cadmium batteries, lithium batteries contain 70% less of heavy metal lithium. Therefore, for a 10-year lifetime battery package, carbon emissions can be reduced by 40%. Bosch Power Tools is the first manufacturer in applying lithium battery technology on power tools. Bosch lithium battery technology can provide four times of battery life compared to similar competition product. Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. focuses on li-ion battery products, and introduces several environmental health elements, such as, ascending energy efficiency, energy saving, vibration control and dustproof and elimination etc.
Bosch’s effort on environmental protection and its obtaining of “China Environmental Friendly Enterprise” established a model for the development of multinational corporations in China. And Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. also proves that Bosch will always be environmental friendly and insist on “local for local” strategy.
